Design Coordinator
Lauren is a Design Coordinator at KDI's Los Angeles office. Lauren is passionate about empowering communities through the design of meaningful and equitable landscapes that celebrate stories, identity, and culture. Prior to joining KDI, Lauren worked as a research assistant at the USC School of Architecture. With the use of geospatial planning tools, she produced a series of maps to identify the social and environmental injustices on disadvantaged unincorporated communities caused by large-scale agriculture in California's Central Valley. In 2019, she received the Idaho-Montana ASLA Honor Award and was recognized as the College of Art and Architecture Highlight Student at the University of Idaho for her commitment to advancing environmental justice efforts in the landscape architecture profession. Lauren was selected as the 2021 recipient of the Landscape Justice Award by the USC MLA+U Landscape Justice Initiative. She holds a B.S. in Landscape Architecture from the University of Idaho and a Master of Landscape Architecture and Urbanism from the University of Southern California.
