Mario is a Senior Design Principal at KDI’s Los Angeles office. With 15 years of professional landscape architecture experience, Mario has built work in New York, Texas, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, Georgia, and Southern California as well as internationally in Germany and the Caribbean. He is honored to be recognized by the ASLA as an emerging Latino American Landscape Architect. His background as a first generation American, raised by immigrant and refugee parents in the San Fernando Valley, formed his foundation of core values: social justice, hard work, and environmental stewardship. Mario holds a BFA in Environmental Arts from Otis College of Art and Design and a Master of Landscape Architecture from Cal Poly Pomona. Mario is also fluent in Spanish and is a Registered Landscape Architect.
