Naria is a Senior Planning Principal at KDI’s Los Angeles office. She is committed to using her training as an urban planner to help underrepresented communities advance their own solutions to create more resilient and equitable neighborhoods. Naria manages several KDI projects in LA, working alongside policymakers and community groups to promote more flexible, resident-led land use. Prior to joining KDI, Naria worked at non-profit and public agencies addressing a variety of issues including neighborhood revitalization, storm water management, foreclosure prevention, healthy food access, and economic development. While completing her Master of Urban Planning at University of California, Los Angeles, she explored strategies to revitalize Detroit’s vacant lots through community-driven green infrastructure projects.
