KOUNKUEY DESIGN INITIATIVE is seeking an Operations Associate to add to our growing team of nearly 20 staff members in Los Angeles, CA. This is a great opportunity for a creative, highly motivated recent graduate or early career professional to work directly with people in under-resourced communities, advance equity and support community-driven development. The position is based in our Los Angeles office, but may potentially involve occasional travel to our projects in the Eastern Coachella Valley or other areas of California.


Job Description:

Kounkuey Design Initiative, an award-winning, non-profit design and community development organization, is looking for a talented individual to provide administrative support for its Los Angeles office. The Operations Associate will work alongside and report to the Executive Director and Director of Finance & Administration. This position supports tasks with deadlines and sometimes requires availability to work outside of standard hours. The ideal candidate will be interested in the design and community development professions, and be seeking an opportunity to learn about all aspects of a non-profit organization.  


Operations & Finance

        - Assist with light bookkeeping tasks
        - Procure office supplies
        - Serve as point-of-contact for IT needs for the U.S. & Kenya offices including purchasing/maintaining software subscriptions, software installation, and software troubleshooting
