Planning Principal
Sabrina is a Planning Principal at KDI Kenya. She is passionate about involving communities in planning and policy decisions through the co-production of knowledge. Sabrina leads two of our research projects, working alongside community members to test new methods of information gathering and sharing to build resilience, particularly against flooding. Sabrina previously worked with GIZ in Zambia and Germany on the use of GIS in spatial planning and sustainable urban sanitation, and interned with UN-Habitat in Kenya. She has international experience working with bilateral, multilateral and nongovernmental organizations and her previous research has covered crime in informal settlements, refugees and migrants in urban areas, public health planning, and housing. Sabrina has worked in El Salvador, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia and Ethiopia. She holds a Master of Urban and Regional Development Planning and Management from the Ardhi University of Dar es Salaam and the Technical University of Dortmund.
