    silas onyango

    community intern

    Silas Jalamo Onyango is a Community Intern at KDI Kenya, where he promotes participatory and evidence-based initiatives focused on community development. His expertise includes research, facilitation, participatory design, logistics, and field implementation. Silas earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Nairobi. He applies his understanding of human behavior to create community-driven solutions in the informal settlements. His responsibilities encompass a broad spectrum of research tasks, including data collection, surveys, focus group discussions, report writing, transcribing, and logistics management, all aimed at improving the quality of life for community members.

    Beyond his professional pursuits, Silas is a passionate poet who believes in the transformative power of language. He draws inspiration from his interests in politics, football, and music, weaving these themes into his poetry. He finds beauty and significance in the world around him and discovers poetry in nature.
