Amos is a Field + Research Associate at KDI Kenya.  He is passionate about using and sharing his research and communications skills to identify vulnerable populations and advocate for urban resilience. A GIS specialist with 7 years’ experience applying state-of-the-art mapping techniques to visualize and analyze one of the world’s most challenging and rapidly-changing settlements, Amos leads data collection and mapping to support KDI’s design, urban planning and research initiatives. He also coordinates and trains the research team in spatial data collection and organization, and has played a key role in managing KDI’s social media page as well as producing and editing numerous KDI videos. Amos has worked with KDI since 2011 and holds certificates in GIS from ESRI International and in Film Production from Kibera Film School.
