James is a community Coordinator at KDI. He is passionate about improving the lives of marginalized communities through his involvement in community engagement and the participatory design process. At KDI, James is at the forefront of supporting community empowerment and development. He is a guru in data analytics and compilation of reports that contribute to the M & E Process of KDI. Prior to joining KDI, he served as a community leader in KDI's DARAJA project. He has also worked with AMREF Kenya and ChildFund Kenya in Kibera's informal settlement as a community champion. James is a weather enthusiast and an award-winning climate change champion who loves building connections with like minded individuals who are at the forefront of making sustainable changes in their communities. James holds a B.A. in Economics and sociology from The Catholic University of Eastern Africa.
