Wambua is a Construction Coordinator at KDI Kenya. Wambua is passionate about sharing his design knowledge and construction skills to help the Kiberan community improve their quality of life through well-planned and implemented built projects. Having first joined KDI as a volunteer in 2012 and become an employee in 2014, Wambua oversees construction at each new development in Kibera, providing invaluable context-specific technical knowledge. Prior to joining KDI, Wambua was a mason and carpenter while working outside Nairobi. He has 20 years of experience in the construction industry and learned his skills through an apprenticeship program by a company located in Laxmanbhai, Kenya.
